ahh the good old days. i time before my job was simple and sailors like me risked their lives.

simply beautiful. the ocean is a hard mistress to capture in any form but this art is stunning.

BTW, for those who are interested, there are amazing free ship models at ShareCG including the Black Pearl and Flying Dutchman by Jed Swindells. ([link]). They are in Bryce format, but can be converted.

Beautifully composed, the diagonal works very well. The environment is perfect with very nice water.

Only one problem: how can the ships move with their sails furled?

Very good question, but as far as i know (from movies :D) they don't let them down especialy when the weather is stormy just not to be ripped
